ROSIE WESTHOFF
My debut short film CRUSH premiered at BFI Flare in 2017 and was selected for the British Council's Five Films for Freedom. My short film OUR SISTER was supported by BFI Network and Tribeca's Pond5 programme, premiered at BFI London Film Festival, and won Best British Short at Leeds International Film Festival.
In 2021, I was nominated for a TV BAFTA for my episode of BBC iPlayer's Sparks: New Voices and was named a Film London Lodestar. I am an alum of the Torino Series Lab and the Stowe Story Labs Feature Lab.
I am represented by Jessica Cooper at Curtis Brown.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies from Macquarie University. After graduating, I worked in production on TV commercials in Sydney before moving to London, where I worked in live television production, before transitioning to writing and directing.
My writing is self-reflective. A way of making sense of the world around me. I'm drawn to stories about family, connection and nature.
I love walking, swimming, music and photography.
